Just a test
this is a test to see how fast FeedBurner and Bloglines detect an update to my blog
I'm using Bliglines to keep up with my several blog and RSS suscriptions... When I tried to add my own Blog, it would just show up 3 posts, the very first 3 posts that I made, and never the recent ones...
So, i re-published my blog thru FeedBurner and now its showing correctly on Bloglines... Maybe I was doing something wrong...
Try it, if you have problems with your feeds, give it a try...
A bunch of friends are getting together to have an XBOX Bash tonight... we gonna try out the FIFA 2005 game and also the leaked Halo 2 (french edition) a friend of mine found on the web... let see how it goes...
XBOX, Beer and chips... sounds fun for a guys night out... (even though girls are also coming...)
Last night we got together to celebrate my friend's birthday... Rayados (Monterrey soccer team) also played and we watched them tie the game at the last minute...
So we were at "Tucano's", a nice cozy bar where a lot of people hangs out thursday nights... this is the place to see and to be seen... a lot of fine girls...
We were the last ones to get out, and when I head out to the place where my car was parked, it just wasn't there... BIG SHOCK... for a few moments you get scared as hell... you think your car was stolen... and after a few more seconds you realize that it might have been towed... I called the transit authority and actually, the car was there... it was towed...
I had to pay 70 bucks for the towing truck service and for the ticket... but my car spent the night at my house instead of the junkyard it was in, where they usually get damaged and even some parts stolen...
Anyway... the good thing was that I was able to get my car out of the junkyard... at 3 o clock in the morning, thanks to the people working at the transit authority office overnight...

Well, i want to let out some toughts that i've been rounding up in my head for the past few days.
Regarding the recent entrance of a Tigres indoor soccer franchise in the MISL (Major Indoor Soccer League), let me tell you that i find this a bit unusual, suspicious if you want...
First of all, months ago, the major soccer team Tigres, made an offer to buy the Monterrey Fury pro indoor soccer franchise. Fury's owner said "NO"... As the days went through, the league's commisioner, disaffiliated the team, citing "constant administrative and economical failures", whatever that means... as a response, the Fury's owner appealed the decision and got no response whatsoever from the league...
A couple of days later, the MISL commisioner announces that they don't want to leave Monterrey without a team, as it is a great fan base and a great city, so, as he says, he went on the look for potential investors who wanted to buy a whole new franchise... and guess who he found... Monterrey Tigres, a team that plays in the major soccer first division, a VERY popular team.
So, as it went down, the Tigres signed a contract to manage the resulting franchise from the recent disafiliation, that means, that the player contract from the now extinct Monterrey Fury, belong to the league... so Tigres will cease control of it, with the option to actually buying a franchise and staying in the league.
The newly formed team will go by the name of Tigres Indoor, to differentiate it of the actual Tigres, that play regular soccer...
What I think of all this, is that the Tigres organization, after getting the offer to acquire Monterrey Fury rejected, went behind the back and contacted directly the MISL league's commisioner, and practicly asked them to get them a franchise... as the commisioner realized the actual investment and organizational power the Tigres had, decided to give them a franchise, as they were a better organization all-around, would attract a larger fan base (including the actual soccer team fans) and therefore bring more money to the league's pockets. So, the league was convinced Tigres deserved a franchise, and monterrey was no place for two MISL teams, they simply disafiliated the Fury, as i cited above...
So, Tigres got their indoor franchise, the league got a better organization running the Monterrey franchise, and by the way... bigger bags of cash...
I'm not saying that this is good or bad, it's surely good to Monterrey's indoor soccer culture and to the fans, but this wasn't necesarily the best way this could have happened. I feel Tigres indoor was born in a dirty fashion... not to be reminded proudly...
My toughts on the issue...
as the usual in the consulting business, you spend all night up finishing stuff for a next morning presentation. i'm tired of it, with all the pressure on your back, your head is on the line... DELIVER, DELIVER, DELIVER... it's all about delivering... they don't care if you waste your life at the job, just do it...
it's crazy, at the same time the consulting firms claim that family is the most important thing, that we dont live to work, we work to live... YEAH RIGHT... when it comes down the time... the hell with family... DELIVER!!! and finally, we become the things we do...
anyway... talk 2 u l8r on
Bush apparently won the elections... is this a sad day? again? as half the americans claimed in 2000? Well, really dunno if it's good or bad, but for me, it's almost the same... Anyway...
It's freezing cold here in Saltillo, I miss working @ Monterrey, I dont have a life here, from work, to bed, to work, and so on... booooring...
Looking forward to playing some more FIFA 2005 on XBOX, i've been playing for just 11 or so games on my career... it seems it will take AWHILE before I get somewhere... FIFA 2006 will catch up before I do... hehe
The pro indoor soccer team from Monterrey, that plays in the Major Indoor Soccer League has just been recently suspiciously bought by the Monterrey Tigres (tigers), a major soccer team... this newly acquired team will go by the name of Tigres Indoor... let's see how that works... it's just weird, Miguel Garza, Vp of the regular soccer team, is the former president of the now-extinct LA RAZA pro indoor soccer team, that used to play in the CISL (Continental Indoor Soccer League)... so, I know he has some experience managing pro indoor soccer teams... now i get it... more comments onthis tomorrow... a lot to tell, so little time...
Last note...
Tigres is also planning to open up a franchise on the MSL (Major Soccer League) @ San Antonio, Texas... talk about an "expanding" team...
